If your lines are not being interpreted as individual bullets it most likely due to them being interpreted as soft returns, they need to be paragraph marks for InDesign to recognize them each as a separate paragraph. This is easy to fix in DataLinker.
In the DataLinker palette, hover over the field in question, right click, and choose "Edit Field". In the resulting dialog, put "\n" in "Regex Find String" and "\r" in "Regex Replace String". Here's an example of how that might look:
Once you do that and refresh DataLinker, those should become separate paragraphs.
