In Adobe Express, you can create a barcode in three steps:
- Choose your barcode type
- Enter your data and adjust the barcode
- Click the "Create Barcode" button
1. Choose your barcode type
Open the "Barcode" dropdown at the top of the BarcodeMaker panel. You'll see a list of categories:
You can scroll through the categories and open the one that has your barcode, or more simply you can just start typing the barcode you're interested in. For example, if you type "isb", the list will shrink down and show you just the ISBN barcode, which you can then choose:
2. Enter your data and adjust the barcode
Enter data
Enter the data you want to encode in the top text field. For ISBN barcodes, this top field is called "ISBN".
When you tab out of the field, the preview at the bottom of the panel with update with the new data.
Adjust the barcode
Every barcode has its own options you can modify. The options are organized by category, and there are many, many options to choose from. For text, you can adjust the font, text size, vertical and horizontal offset, color, and much more. Many barcodes share options, like color, but many barcodes have their own specific options. For example, QR Code has options for "Error Correction Level" and "Version", which are specific to QR Codes.
3. Click the "Create Barcode" button
Click the "Create Barcode" button at the bottom of the panel to insert the barcode in the upper right hand corner of the page.
Note: the barcode is sized so that most scanners will be able to scan it, whether your document is intended for print or web. Resize the barcode at your own risk! If you make it too large or too small, it might not scan.
